STAR Cryoelectronics offers an extensive range of custom thin-film foundry services for the fabrication of low temperature superconductor (LTS) and high temperature superconductor (HTS) devices, including Josephson junctions, Superconducting QUantum Interference Devices (SQUIDs), superconducting detectors such as transition edge sensor (TES) microcalorimeter detectors, superconducting tunnel junction (STJ) detectors, and magnetic microcalorimeter (MMC) detectors, microwave resonators, NMR coils, antennas, IR windows, cryoswitches, and much more.
Current processes include a Nb/Al-AlOx/Nb trilayer Josephson junction process for 100- and 150-mm wafers, and custom fabrication of thin-film devices on 1 cm2 chips and 2”, 3”, 4” and 6” wafers.
